Staff: The Mark Twain District Twilight Camp is administered by a Camp Director, a Program Director and a Scouting professional that are BSA National Camp School Certified.  Key members of the Camp Staff are trained and certified in specific disciplines for the individual areas of responsibility.
Facilities: The Mark Twain District Twilight Camp Facility is inspected before and during camp sessions.  BSA Nationally trained inspectors conduct camp visits to check safety, security, cleanliness, health conditions and program suitability.
 
Program: Citizenship, Cub Scout Core Values, fitness, self-esteem, and character development are the hallmarks of the Scouting program.  Our camp delivers a dynamic Cub Scout program with plenty of safe fun.
Accreditation: The Mark twain District Twilight Camp undergoes one or more safety inspections prior to and during operation.  All Connecticut Rivers Camps are inspected for National Accreditation by the Boy Scouts of America.
 
Insurance: Connecticut Rivers Council maintains an insurance policy which will cover all Scouts while at camp.  This policy is a second coverage to your primary insurance.  To summarize, if you Scout is injured at camp, your personal insurance becomes primary for coverage with the camp insurance as a secondary policy.  If no other insurance is available, the council’s policy will apply.
 
Cancellations of Program: The Connecticut River Council reserves the right to cancel this program.  Appropriate substitution and/or refunds will be offered.
 
Confirmation Packet: A confirmation packet will be mailed to you prior to the beginning of camp.
 
Health Forms: All scouts, family members, camp staff and volunteers must have a Connecticut Rivers Council’s Health Survey Form on File with the medical officer at the Mark Twain District Twilight Camp.  Health Survey Forms must be turned into the Camp Health Officer the first day of camp.  Health Survey Forms must be completed in full, with all required signatures.  Parents should make photocopy of their son’s health forms before submitting it to the camp.  Health Survey forms are available on this website located under Registration
 
Medications: The State Department of Public Health requires that “Authorization for the Administration of Medications” be completed for all campers who receive medications (Including over-the-counter medications) at camp.  This section of the health form must be signed by a physician and a parent or guardian.  Only camps with a licensed nurse or physician are able to administer medications.  Not all camps have health officers qualified to administer medications.   Please check with your camp director.
